Registration closes at 12:30, First Game starts promptly at 1pm

Trophies & Awards ceremony at 5pm

Categories: K-3 (U300) K-5(U500) K-8 (U800)  K-12 (OPEN)

**All Players must bring their own boards & clocks if they have any**

Number of games: 4 (No Elimination)

Trophies: awarded to top 5 individuals in each cateory and top 5 teams. All others will be awarded with participant medals.

When: April 29^th &  June 3^rd be there by 1:30. Starts at 2.

What: 3 games each day! Unrated Chess Tournament, Grades K thru 12^th

Who: Any school (public, private, & homeschool) child & ADULT!!!!

Trophies: On June 3^rd everyone receives a HUGE Trophy!! Top 15 individuals in each division win Extra Tall Trophies and Top 5 Teams win Tall Trophies to take back to present to Your School.

Discount Co$t: $35 pays for both days & all receive trophy on 6/3 Pay After 4/19  and cost is $45. Call Coach Taylor for Title 1 & Multiple family members (2^nd,etc. 1/2price.) Playing 1 day? pay only $20 (still gets a trophy)  Adults & 1^st time HS play FREE.

Mary Bryant Summer Chess Camp (Rated)

August 6 – 10, 2012

8am (early drop-off) to 5pm

Camp cost:  $150  ( if paid by 6/6, $180 by 7/6, $200 8/1.

additional siblings are only $75 each)

Dear Parents of Chess Club Campers:

    Campers ages 5-16 are invited to spend a week immersed in chess instruction with Professional Coaches.We will have all the fun of the regular camps (bughouse, soccer, water balloons, etc.) but we throw in a Rated Tournament game Monday through Thursday from 3:00-4:00 pm. Coaches will be around to analyze your games and provide tips to improve your play. Camp entry includes, if not already having, a USCF MEMBERSHIP & RATING!!! 

Drop-off is in the back of the school at Car-line.  Drop-off begins at 8:00 a.m., and Pick-up is 4-5:00 p.m. each day. Please plan on picking up your child no later than 5 p.m. each day. If you are running late, please call Coach Taylor at 813-727-8852.

Please have your child bring a lunch and drink, Monday through Thursday.  Friday is our Pizza Bash Day. The coaches will provide the pizza and fruit drinks. If parents would like to donate cookies, that would be great!

Below is a schedule for a typical day:

8:00-9:00         Arrival (Drop-off at Car-Line)
9:00-10:00       Quad Tournament (with beginners going to class to start learning how to play).
10:00-10:45     Chess Classes
10:45-11:30     Group Activity
11:30-12:15     Lunch and Outside Activity
12:15-1:45       Chess Classes
1:45-2:00         Afternoon Snack
2:00-3:00         Group Activity
3:00-4:00         Rated Tournament ( 5 rounds a week)
4:00-5:00         Pick-up at Car-Line.
